This 6 month online qualification prepares learners to set up a home based childcare setting as a registered childminder.
The course is built of two elements – the Introductory Training Course on your Childminding UK dashboard and the Level 3 Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare NCFE CACHE qualification assessed on the OneFile platform. You will also have access to the FREE Food Hygiene module as a bonus (saving you £35); this module is highly recommended for Level 3 learners.

Once you have purchased this course, you will be able to buy annual Childminding UK membership at a discounted cost of only £70 for the first year (normally £90). The membership package includes in excess of £400 online training resources that you can use to establish and run your childminding business.
All Childminding UK online training supports the use of Browser Extensions for translation and Dyslexia support. If you currently use a Browser Extension you can be confident that you will be able to use it while completing your training.
Additional Information
Completion of this course is time sensitive to allow you to finish within the 6 month timeframe. You will be given a timetable of assessments to complete, and have marked, before being able to move on to the next one. Expected work time 2-5 hours per week.
Once your award is completed, you will still have access to your Introductory Training & Food Hygiene modules for a year from date of purchase to enable you to refresh your knowledge.
Although this is a 6 month course, your application to Ofsted can be made after completion of the Introductory Training part, and while you are completing your further assessments.
