About this course
This is the only online Food Hygiene course available which has been designed and written specifically for Registered Childminders. It has been validated by Cherwell and South Northants Public Health Team as part of our Primary Health Authority Partnership for Childminding UK Members.
This carefully designed online course will give you all the relevant food safety information childminders need.
The EYFS states you have to ensure that you are competent to prepare and handle food appropriately (Statutory Framework 3.46) and completing this training and following the guidance it covers will help ensure that you are competent and complying with the EYFS requirements.
The course includes all the information you would expect to find about food related illness and food safety but also includes information about food allergy and intolerance, keeping pets and basic requirements of childminding facilities.
This Local Safeguarding Children Board approved online training will guide you through the information needed to understand your responsibilities to help keep children safe from harm.
This course is aimed at providing an introduction or refresher about Safeguarding Children and is relevant to all who work with children or young people, whether you are a Registered Childminder working alone or employing others or if you work in a large group setting.
This module is available for you to re-visit as many times as you need and unlike some online courses, there is no limit to how many times you can retake the Knowledge Test at the end of the course.
How long do I have to complete the training?
For non-members the course will be available for a year from date of purchase. For annual members this course is included as part of your membership package and will be available as long as your subscription remains active.
Can I buy this training as a gift?
Yes, but please make sure you create a new account for the recipient rather using your own account. This ensures the certificates are issued in the correct name.
