Having a Business Plan will help you to smoothly develop your business and make things more straight forward for you to manage, and more likely to succeed in the way that you want it to. Being able to go back to the plan to remind you of what your goals are, and what stages you are working though to get to those goals is highly beneficial and will help to inform any future changes and developments that you need to make. It is a working document so regular review and alteration as required is ideal and will keep you on track and will help to keep your business viable.

However, many childminders have never had to create a business plan before and it may feel like a very time consuming activity; so how do you know what you need to do? Childminding UK has developed two packs that will move you through the process. They are written specifically for childminding settings, providing step by step, jargon free guidance on what to do saving you time and giving you confidence in what you are doing.
