About this event

Environmental sustainability is about using resources responsibly to meet today’s needs without compromising the future - ensuring a healthy planet and a thriving life for generations to come.

The Department for Education’s Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy for Education states that ‘by 2025, all education settings will have nominated a sustainability lead and put in place a climate action plan’. This includes early years settings, schools, multi-academy trusts, colleges, and universities.

As a Childminder, that means you are the lead. This course will help you understand what that means and how to meet your responsibilities. You’re in a unique position to influence young children at the earliest stages of learning - when their curiosity is high and their values are forming. By building sustainability into everyday routines, you’re not just protecting the planet - you’re shaping the future.

Our Environmental Sustainability Virtual Training Course is specifically designed for childminders who want to take real action on climate change and embed sustainability into their settings.

Be part of a global movement and join thousands of educators playing their part in achieving net zero, promoting biodiversity, and helping children grow up connected to nature.
