About this course

This Level 3 CPD Accredited Course comprises of 4 modules.

Is this course for me? If you are planning on registering with Ofsted on the Childcare Register only, you must either have at least a Level 2 qualification or training in the Common Core.

The Childcare Register has 2 parts:

  • Compulsory Part- if you will be caring for children from 5-8 years of age
  • Voluntary Part- if you will be caring for children over 8 years of age, or will be working as a nanny in the child’s own home

You can register on either or both parts of the Childcare Register.

This course is aimed at:

  • Childminders who are caring for school aged children only (year 1 and above- you would also need the Early Years Register if caring for children in reception year of school)
  • Home based Childcarers (nannies) who are caring for children in their own home for no more than 2 families (if you wish to care for children from more than 2 families you would need to register as a childminder)
  • Holiday and activity clubs
  • Out of school clubs that are not operated by a school
  • Activity based groups such as dance clubs, trampolining clubs, boating clubs etc.

About the Course

This unique and comprehensive course covers all the Common Core of Skills and Knowledge but also includes the practical information you need to help you carry out your day to day responsibilities in your particular Childcare Register setting. Downloadable course handouts are included.

The detail offered in your course is so much more indepth and thorough than other Common Core training I considered. After completing it, I feel thoroughly prepared for my Ofsted Registration and would thoroughly recommend this to others. Julie
