This easy to use Guide tells you everything you need to know to register your childminding business with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and to keep accurate records. This will enable you to complete your tax return confidently and accurately.

It has advice about allowable expenses; accurate record keeping; direct and indirect allowances that are tax deductible and information on class 2 and class 4 National Insurance Contributions.

We have also included blank forms for you to download and use as often as you need to record childminding invoices and receipts and the records of your income and expenditure. The forms can be personalised with your childminding settings name and/or logo if you choose.
